Northsec gives customers a single online account from which they can hold balances in EUR, GBP and USD, receive and send bank transfers using dedicated virtual IBAN details, convert between currencies at market rates, and hold or withdraw digital assets such as BTC, ETH, SOL and USDT.

Every account is opened after identity verification, and account statements can be downloaded at any time from the customer dashboard.

We onboard individuals aged 18 or over and companies established in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. We do not onboard customers, businesses or beneficial owners resident in sanctioned jurisdictions, and we do not serve customers in countries where we are unable to complete verification.

Northsec is not a bank and does not hold a banking licence. Payment accounts, virtual IBANs and payment execution are provided through licensed electronic money institutions, payment institutions and banking partners. Customer funds held with those partners are safeguarded in line with the partner's regulatory obligations and are not used for our own business purposes.

Because we are not a deposit-taking institution, balances are not covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme or by national deposit guarantee schemes.

We earn revenue from account and transaction fees published on our Fees page. We do not sell customer data and we do not receive commission for referring customers to third parties.
